June 2, 2006 - We found out that we have a Log In Date (LID) with China for May 18, 2006. A LID is the date that China receives the adoptive parent's dossier and enters it in its system. Now we are officially "PREGNANT"! That's great because Scott says he's been showing for 8 years now!

May 23, 2006 - Received our offical brown envelope with our case number and our documents for our trip.

May 10, 2006 - We are finally DTC (dossier to China)! Let the waiting begin in earnest!

May 1, 2006 - OUR DOSSIER IS ON ITS WAY TO CWA! IT'S IN GOD'S HANDS NOW!

April 28, 2006 - Received all of our documents back from Washington, DC. We're almost done with all the PAPERWORK!

April 19, 2006 - Sent all SC documents to courier for Department of State signature and Chinese Consulate authentication.

April 18, 2006 - Received documents back form the Secretary of State with signatures of authentication.

April 14, 2006 - Received back my birth certificate and our marriage license from NY Chinese Consulate. Mailed all SC documents to Secretary of State in Columbia for authentication.

April 13, 2006 - Completed our personal statement.

April 6, 2006 - Went to City of MB for background checks and had all documents notarized.

April 5, 2006 - Got our I171H! Only 40 days from our appointment at CIS.

April 4, 2006 - Received back Scott’s birth certificate from Texas Chinese Consulate.

March 27, 2006 - Mailed out Birth Certificates and Marriage License to Houston and New York Chinese Consulates for authentication.

March 4, 2006 - Ordered copies of our birth certificates and marriage licenses online.

March 3, 2006 - Received the okay from our doctors on the physical forms and got our employment letters overnighted along with our final home study payment to Priscilla.

March 1, 2006 - Received rough draft of home study, edited and returned to Priscilla.

February 24, 2006 - Went to CIS to get our fingerprints taken and have them sent to DHS with the I600A. We also stopped by the CWA and met with Virginia Zanger.

February 14, 2006 - Went to the doctors for physicals and got orders for bloodwork.

February 7, 2006 - Mailed out 2003, 2004 and 2005 income tax statements and our financial net worth statement to Priscilla.

January 29, 2006 - Completed 'Conspicuous Families' online course.

January 28, 2006 - Attended CWA 'Abroad and Back' workshop in Charleston, SC. Met some very warm and friendly families.

January 27, 2006 - HOME VISIT........DONE! Teresa signed the Certificate of Adopt Parent Prep (a very good thing!).

January 25, 2006 - Mailed out documents to Priscilla Mack (our home study administrator), including copies of birth certificates, marriage license, passports and post-adoption report.

January 23, 2006 - Completed 'Becoming Your Child's Best Advocate' online class. Received an email from Teresa Smith (our social worker) letting us know we would be expecting a home visit soon!

January 22, 2006 - Completed and submitted autobiographies (that was a tough part!).

December 16, 2006 - Received I-600A application from the Department of Homeland Security.

December 15, 2005 - Asked 3 friends for references and started our autobigraphies which were required by the application process.

December 8, 2005 - Applied for homestudy.

December 5, 2005 - Completed and submitted child abuse neglect clearance and local police clearance (SCLED check) forms.

December 3, 2005 - Received homestudy information packet affter the application was approved.

December 1, 2005 - Applied to CWA.

November 18, 2005 - Attended Christian World Adoption (CWA) seminar in Charlotte, NC. Nana June attended.
